Who runs STAMP, and what happens to your audio.

Who we are

STAMP is a tool by Simple Things We Use, owned and operated by:

Your audio stays on your computer

This is the important part, so it comes first. STAMP runs entirely in your browser.

• Recording, editing and building your library happen on your own machine. Your audio is never uploaded to us, and we never hear it.
• We do not have a server that stores your recordings. The pack and the project file are saved by your browser to your own disk, like any other download.
• Closing the page ends the session. Nothing is kept, which is why we suggest saving your project before you leave.

What is stored in your browser

STAMP keeps two small preferences in your browser's local storage: whether you chose the light or dark theme, and which inputs of your audio interface you last used. No cookies, no accounts, no tracking or analytics.

Microphone access

Your browser asks for permission before STAMP can hear your audio interface, and you can withdraw it at any time in your browser settings. The audio stream is used only to record the session you started, and it is processed locally.

The iPad remote

The remote connects your computer and your tablet directly to each other. To introduce the two devices, the first handshake passes through a third-party signalling service (PeerJS). That handshake carries connection details only. Once connected, the two devices exchange the on-screen state and your button presses directly, and no audio is sent over the connection.

Fonts

The page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers when the page opens. If you prefer to avoid this, use STAMP offline after saving the page, or ask us for a build with the fonts bundled.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have written to us and want that correspondence removed, or you have any question about this page, write to info@emanuelefrusi.it.

The tool itself

STAMP is provided as it is, without warranty. The instruments and sample libraries you create with it are yours: we claim no rights over your recordings or over the packs you build. You are responsible for having the right to record the instruments and sounds you sample.

STAMP exports files for third-party samplers. Kontakt is a trademark of Native Instruments, and Decent Sampler is a product of Decent Samples. STAMP is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by either of them.
